Care

Hair that
stays beautiful longer.

Extension hair is real human hair — but it no longer draws nourishment from the scalp. What the strand cannot receive from within, attentive daily care gives back. A few principles, and your hair keeps its first-day glow for months.

Your own hair is fed from within by the follicles; an extension has lost that source. So all of its beauty comes from the care you give it from the outside. This is not a complicated routine — just a few mindful habits that, together, work wonders.

01

Daily brushing

The most important habit is consistency. Brush gently and patiently morning and evening — always starting from the ends and working upward, row by row. Be especially thorough near the roots, where tangling and matting begin first. Use a soft-bristle brush made specifically for extensions, and spare the bonds: use a wide-tooth comb there. A few minutes of brushing a day is the cheapest insurance for the life of your hair.

02

Washing and drying

Wash every three days — daily washing dries the strand out. Work with your head tilted back, in smooth downward motions, never rubbing or scrunching. When drying, blot the water with a towel, pressing gently. Hair is most fragile when wet, so never brush it wet — wait until it dries. Twenty to thirty minutes after washing, treat it with a protein-rich conditioner to give back what the water took.

03

The right products

Ordinary drugstore products will not help here — you need shampoo and conditioner made specifically for extensions. Avoid alcohol, fruit acids, heavy silicones and petroleum derivatives: they dry the hair out and can even dissolve the keratin bond. Coconut and olive oil, on the other hand, are the strand’s friend — restoring shine and softness. It is worth alternating two or three good products.

04

Heat and bonds

High heat is one of an extension’s greatest enemies. For straightening and drying, use only low or medium settings, and let some of the water evaporate before drying. Never let direct heat — or a flat iron — touch the bonds: the root, the attachment. That is where the fixing is most delicate, and excess heat damages it beyond repair.

05

Sleep

Always brush your hair out before bed, and never lie down with it wet. For sleeping, braid it loosely or tie it back — but not with an ordinary elastic; use a soft, fabric-covered tie that won’t crease the strand. Your morning hair owes a lot to those few minutes the night before.

06

Water and holidays

Chlorinated pool water and salty seawater are an extension’s harshest enemies — the strand quickly turns dry and brittle, and can mat almost instantly. In summer, by the water, protect your hair from them, and if it does get wet, rinse it at once with clean water. The strong chemicals in wellness pools are especially dangerous, so it is best to keep contact to a minimum.

Quality hair and conscientious care bear fruit together. With a little daily attention, your hair stays as you first imagined it for a long time.
